My name is Monika Gr\u00fcndhammer\u2014I\u2019m a certified tour guide, a state-certified tour guide (Austria Guide), and a mountain hiking guide. Born in Tyrol and raised in the mountains, nature is more than just a backdrop to me\u2014it\u2019s home, inspiration, and a part of who I am.<\/p>\n

For over 15 years, I\u2019ve been accompanying guests on bus tours throughout Europe as well as on flights, cruises, and train trips worldwide. In doing so, I combine my passion for travel, nature, culture, and adventure with in-depth knowledge and a great deal of personal dedication.<\/p>\n

What matters most to me? Authentic experiences, connecting with people on an equal footing, and the joy of creating special moments together. For me, traveling means more than just visiting sights. It means discovering stories, getting to know people, experiencing new things, and creating memories that last.<\/p>\n

After my studies in Innsbruck and my training as a state-certified flight instructor, I was eager to explore the world. Therefore, I decided to complete the training to become a certified tour guide<\/strong>. On Princess Cruises’ cruise ships, as a German-speaking onboard hostess, I was able to experience the beauties of this world firsthand and thus supervise extraordinary long-distance group tours<\/strong>. I visited fascinating places such as Moorea, Bora Bora, Tahiti, and Hawaii. I also traveled to Australia and New Zealand. Further on to Iceland, where glaciers and volcanoes meet, and with Hurtigruten’s postal ships, I traveled to Norway’s smallest fjords. What an exciting time\u2026. <\/p>\n

Back home, I managed bus tours in Tyrol, Bavaria, South Tyrol, and Switzerland. Additionally, round trips throughout Austria with the most beautiful stops in the various federal states were on my itinerary. <\/p>\n

My career path combines travel, nature, culture, and adventure. After graduating from high school in Innsbruck, I studied biology and later deepened my passion for art and culture through a master\u2019s program in art history, which I am currently completing.<\/p>\n

I have been working as a tour guide since 2010 and have been self-employed since 2014. As a certified tour guide, state-certified tour guide (Austria Guide), Tyrolean mountain hiking guide, NATOPIA nature guide, and World Heritage Guide 2025, I bring in-depth knowledge and many years of practical experience to the table. I have also successfully passed the travel agency certification exam.<\/p>\n

Over the past 16 years, I have had the privilege of accompanying numerous bus groups throughout Europe and guiding guests on air, sea, and rail trips worldwide. My experience ranges from cultural and city tours to hiking and nature trips, as well as special adventure and experiential tours.<\/p>\n

A special addition to my qualifications is my training as a state-certified paragliding instructor. It combines my deep passion for the mountains and nature with my enthusiasm for flying.<\/p>\n
