The massive granite structure<\/strong> was erected in honor of the Voortrekkers<\/strong>, who left<\/strong> the Cape Colony<\/strong> between 1835<\/strong> and 1854<\/strong> in thousands<\/strong> to settle<\/strong> other areas<\/strong> of today’s South Africa<\/strong>. The city tour<\/strong> through Pretoria<\/strong> was also extremely interesting and the beautiful purple<\/strong> colored<\/strong> Jacaranda<\/strong> trees<\/strong> were uniquely beautiful. Erni<\/strong> told us all sorts of interesting facts about the Nelson<\/strong> Mandela<\/strong> City<\/strong>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Day 3:<\/strong> The next day we went into the interior<\/strong> to the Blyde<\/strong> River<\/strong> Canyon<\/strong>. Bizarre rock formations and incredibly spectacular views down into the deep canyon. <\/p>\n The Blyde River Canyon<\/strong> is a 26-kilometer-long canyon, up to 800 meters deep and mainly made of red sandstone. The Kruger<\/strong> NP<\/strong> lived up to its name<\/strong> and we were speechless when we saw the first giraffe<\/strong> live<\/strong>. Once in a lifetime experience\u2026.<\/strong> <\/p>\n Yes, and there she was, the first<\/strong> giraffe<\/strong> in the wild<\/strong>\u2026I was speechless and I think most of my guests were too. Except perhaps Karl<\/strong>, our well-traveled super<\/strong> hero<\/strong> who has already visited all the NPs. It is located in the northeast of the country in the Lowveld landscape in the area of the province<\/strong> of Limpopo<\/strong> and the eastern section of Mpumalanga<\/strong>. Its area extends from the Crocodile<\/strong> River<\/strong> in the south to the Limpopo<\/strong>, the border river<\/strong> to Zimbabwe<\/strong>, in the north<\/strong>. The north<\/strong>–south<\/strong> extension<\/strong> is about 350<\/strong> km<\/strong>, in the east-west direction the park is on average 54<\/strong> km<\/strong> wide and covers an area of around 20<\/strong>.000<\/strong> square kilometers<\/strong>, comparable to the size of Saxony-Anhalt. It covers 960<\/strong> km\u00b2<\/strong> of mostly hilly<\/strong> terrain<\/strong> and is located in central Zululand<\/strong> in the province of KwaZulu<\/strong>–Natal<\/strong> in South Africa<\/strong>. Lucia<\/strong>. The best way to get to know the lagoon<\/strong> is on a boat tour<\/strong>. No sooner said than done, we boarded our booked<\/strong> excursion boat<\/strong> and explored the crocodile<\/strong> and hippopotamus<\/strong> habitat<\/strong> for the next 2-3<\/strong> hours<\/strong>. You get comprehensive information<\/strong> about the animal<\/strong> and plant world<\/strong>. Its distribution area<\/strong> is now predominantly Africa<\/strong>.
