Every season has its own unique charm: in spring, the meadows bloom in bright colors; summer invites you to take relaxing walks by the lakes; autumn enchants with golden colors; and in winter, a fairytale snowy landscape awaits you. Our tours are designed so that they can also be easily managed by guests with limited mobility.

Easy trails lead you to stunningly beautiful viewpoints just waiting to be discovered. Another highlight is the lovingly arranged floral decorations on the balconies. My guests often let out delighted cries of “ah” and “oh” – seeing their enthusiasm is the best reward for me!

Come visit me in Tyrol and let yourself be swept away by the breathtaking nature and warm hospitality. I promise you will be thrilled!

I look forward to unforgettable moments with you in Tyrol!

The Reintalersee

A fairytale-like highlight in the Tyrolean lowlands

Lake Reintal is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful natural gems in the Tyrolean lowlands. Nestled in the picturesque lake plateau, which comprises a total of four enchanting lakes, the largest of them, Lake Reintal, captivates visitors with its impressive 30 hectares. The lake lies at the southern foot of the Voldöppberg, surrounded by the majestic Brandenberg Alps, offering an incomparable backdrop.

Water & Landscape

The Reintalersee lake is impressively divided into three basins and is mainly fed by groundwater. The western basin drains via the Krummsee lake. In the warm summer months, swimmers can enjoy pleasantly warm water temperatures of up to 25 degrees Celsius, making the lake a popular destination for swimming enthusiasts.

The circular hike

One of the best ways to experience the beauty of Lake Reintal is the newly renovated circular hiking trail. This route, which is approximately 4 to 4.8 kilometers long, is completely barrier-free and meets modern standards of accessibility. Depending on your pace, the hike takes about 1 to 1.5 hours and is ideal for senior travel groups. With an elevation gain of about 51 to 109 meters, the difficulty level is easy – ideal for a relaxing outing in nature.

Moni’s tip: Take a detour to St. Anthony’s Chapel

A very special insider tip is a detour to the idyllic Antonius Chapel. This small chapel in the midst of the beautiful scenery invites you to linger and offers a perfect moment of peace during your hike.

Saint Anthony of Padua was filled with a deep love for Jesus as a child. This also reflects his childlike simplicity, his childlike faith, with which he was able to perform miracles.

Stop at the Haflingerhof

After the hike, the charming Haflingerhof farm awaits you, where a cozy stop for refreshments is on the agenda. Here you can treat yourself to delicious coffee, homemade cake, refreshing ice cream, and traditional Tyrolean cuisine. There is something for every taste!

I cordially invite you to discover Lake Reintal and its surroundings. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique natural surroundings and enjoy a day full of relaxation and joy.

Tour description

Join me on an unforgettable journey of discovery to four impressive lakes and through the diverse landscapes of Tyrol and Bavaria! From your cozy hotel in the Tyrolean lowlands, we will set off together on a day full of nature, history, and regional culture.

Kufstein City Tour and Fortress Tour

Kufstein

Gateway to Tyrol

Our journey first takes us to Kufstein, past the magnificent fortress towering high above the city. If you wish, we can make our first stop here and explore the picturesque Inn-Salzach city on an exciting guided tour with me.

Kufstein City Tour and Fortress Tour

Thiersee

Passion Play Theater & Pendling

We continue uphill towards Thiersee. We pass the famous Passion Play theater and enjoy impressive views of the majestic Pendling, Kufstein’s local mountain, which reveals its imposing north face here.

Bayrischzell & Tegernsee

Tradition and enjoyment

We cross the border into Bavaria and reach the charming village of Bayrischzell, where we are greeted by a view of the striking Wendelstein mountain. From here, we continue past Schliersee to the beautiful Tegernsee lake.

Once there, we will visit a traditional Bavarian brewery, where we will spend our lunch break enjoying regional specialties and freshly tapped Bavarian beer. Afterwards, you can stroll along the lakeside promenade or take a relaxing boat trip on Lake Tegernsee.

Kufstein City Tour and Fortress Tour

Achensee

the “Tyrolean Fjord”

After lunch, the journey continues to Lake Achensee, also known as the “Tyrolean Fjord” due to its elongated shape and surrounding mountains. We will be happy to stop at the parish and pilgrimage church of Eben am Achensee – the resting place of Saint Notburga, the only female Tyrolean saint. In her day, she was particularly committed to helping the needy and to regulating working hours and rest periods.

Kanzlerkehre & Rattenberg

History up close

The tour continues to Kanzlerkehre, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire Inn Valley. If you wish, you can then visit the picturesque glass town of Rattenberg — the smallest town in Austria in terms of area. From the Schlossberg, you can see the impressive historic hipped and gabled roofs with their protective fire walls.

Kufstein City Tour and Fortress Tour

A brief historical insight:

This special roof shape—known as the Innsbruck trench roof—was developed around 1500 under Emperor Maximilian I. Pointed gables were considered a major fire hazard at the time, which is why flatter trench roofs with surrounding fire walls were introduced. This style of construction subsequently characterized numerous cities such as Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Freistadt, and Linz.

A cozy conclusion

Finally, there will be time for a cup of coffee before we relax and make our way back to your hotel.

I look forward to receiving your tour requests so that I can welcome you personally to Tyrol soon! Yours, Moni from Tyrol!
