About Me
My name is Monika Gründhammer—I’m a certified tour guide, a state-certified tour guide (Austria Guide), and a mountain hiking guide. Born in Tyrol and raised in the mountains, nature is more than just a backdrop to me—it’s home, inspiration, and a part of who I am.
For over 15 years, I’ve been accompanying guests on bus tours throughout Europe as well as on flights, cruises, and train trips worldwide. In doing so, I combine my passion for travel, nature, culture, and adventure with in-depth knowledge and a great deal of personal dedication.
What matters most to me? Authentic experiences, connecting with people on an equal footing, and the joy of creating special moments together. For me, traveling means more than just visiting sights. It means discovering stories, getting to know people, experiencing new things, and creating memories that last.
Traveling is my passion—and accompanying people on their journeys is my very own dream job.

My References & Qualifications
My career path combines travel, nature, culture, and adventure. After graduating from high school in Innsbruck, I studied biology and later deepened my passion for art and culture through a master’s program in art history, which I am currently completing.
I have been working as a tour guide since 2010 and have been self-employed since 2014. As a certified tour guide, state-certified tour guide (Austria Guide), Tyrolean mountain hiking guide, NATOPIA nature guide, and World Heritage Guide 2025, I bring in-depth knowledge and many years of practical experience to the table. I have also successfully passed the travel agency certification exam.
Over the past 16 years, I have had the privilege of accompanying numerous bus groups throughout Europe and guiding guests on air, sea, and rail trips worldwide. My experience ranges from cultural and city tours to hiking and nature trips, as well as special adventure and experiential tours.
A special addition to my qualifications is my training as a state-certified paragliding instructor. It combines my deep passion for the mountains and nature with my enthusiasm for flying.
Whether in Tyrol, Europe, or the wider world—I accompany my guests with expertise, heart, and personal dedication, ensuring that every trip becomes a memorable experience.

Our German-speaking team of tour guides, mountain and hiking guides, and licensed Austria Guides will guide you on your Tyrol or Austria trip through one of Europe’s most fascinating countries. With passion! This should be evident in almost all sentences and stories. Additionally, we constantly further our education and also travel privately with the greatest fervor to have a few secret spots up our sleeves.

What sets us apart?
As licensed Austria Guides, we all have completed a two-year full-time training at Wifi Tyrol. From art, culture, and customs to geographical knowledge and excursions in North-East and South Tyrol, Salzburg, and Vienna, everything is included. Continuous further education is also not a foreign concept, furthermore, all our Austria Guides are self-employed and are required to have registered their own business registered.
In Austria, guiding in cities is exclusively permitted for state-certified guides and requires a trade license!
Our Services
Our guides are also available in multiple languages, and we cover common foreign languages such as English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
I would be happy to put together your perfect guide team, especially for larger groups and incentive trips. We cater to the needs of your group and are also happy to assist in advance with the perfect daily schedule, city tour, or route for your desired destination.
